To start off … Talk to Alex to book all the tours you want to take. Alex is attentive, informed, and a straight shooter. We booked all our tours thru Alex and he did not disappoint.
The boat we took for this 4 hour fishing adventure was clean, in proper working order, and had all the fishing equipment we needed to insure a successful trip. The Captain and first mate were professional and knew exactly there to take us for the weather condition s that day.
We started off our trip by catching 5 Black fin Tuna, 3 we kept for bait and 2 we let go to fight another day. They processed the tuna and changed out the equipment to do some drift fishing. This is where things got wild! We told the crew that we were interested in getting Snapper or Mahi Mahi. With in 10 minutes of being in our new location we were on the Snappers. I landed a respectful fish and knew we would have enough for a meal that night. My wife, not be be out done,
caught a snapper twice the size of mine. We lost a few big fish due to the fact that their sharp teeth cut the line, but still great fun to fight them. Then … The biggest, unexpected fight of our life happened. My wife was battling something big … it was taking out line like crazy … she would regain the upper hand and then off the monster would go again. After about a 15 minute fight, my wife was exhausted, so i asked her if she wanted to hand off to me, to which she replied “**** ya”.
I battled this great beast for another 15 minutes. My arms were numb, and my legs were shaking. Finally … a huge Rooster fish …OMG.
After a few pictures we returned this majestic beast to the sea.
We had a wonderful supper that night .
