Daily taxi boat shuttles depart Montezuma at 8:30 am and travel along the Pacific coast. The duration of the ride is typically 60-90 minutes, depending on the weather. If we’re lucky, we may even spot some marine wildlife, such as dolphins and humpback whales, when they’re in season. If you’re headed to Montezuma from Jaco/Herradura, don’t worry! The taxi boat returns daily, departing from Herradura Beach at 10:00 am. We provide plastic bags for luggage to keep them from getting wet. Please inquire if you have a lot of luggage or surfboards.
Traveling from Santa Teresa to Jacó, Manuel Antonio, or elsewhere on the central Pacific coast? Our taxi boat leaves from Montezuma beach and cuts hours off the drive around the Gulf of Nicoya. We can arrange ground transportation from your Santa Teresa accommodation to the Montezuma departure point so you make the boat comfortably with your luggage. Give us your pickup address and departure date when you book and we’ll coordinate the connection.
